CIMG1859.jpg - nigel's office is in the back (yellow wall).
Eventually the office and part of the living room will be combined to be a
living area. The wall between the kitchen and livingroom (and between the office
and living room) willbe removed.

CIMG1860.jpg
- current split entry. Note that the big window on the top was not there
until a year ago. This was a very, very dark house.
|
CIMG1861.jpg
- note the lower ceiling height where the sliders are. This will
eventually be converted into Nigel's office and Nigel's office will become part
of the "Great Room" a combined living room and kitchen.
|
CIMG1862.jpg
- Nigel's office
|
CIMG1863.jpg - livingroom - note the way the existing fireplace takes
up a tremendous footprint.
|
CIMG1864.jpg
- kitchen.
|
CIMG1865.jpg
|
CIMG1866.jpg
- bedroom - very dark in the winter. these pictures were taken in August.
|
CIMG1867.jpg
- Master vanity area. a tube "skylight" adds a tremendous amount of
light to a very dark area.
|
CIMG1868.jpg
|
CIMG1869.jpg
- the main bathroom was very dark before we added the skylight.
|
CIMG1870.jpg - lynn's office. Could become the new non-split
entry some day
|
CIMG1871.jpg
|
CIMG1872.jpg - basement. the window in the back was added
in 2007. you can imagine how dark it was before then (especially with the
moldy brown carpet).
|
CIMG1873.jpg - dog wash
|
CIMG1874.jpg - sewingroom - good light in here from eastern morning
sun.
|
CIMG1875.jpg
- guest bedroom. the air filter is for that funky "dead" smell we
sometimes get. not sure what is causing it.... need to remove the
sheetrock in this entire room.
|
CIMG1876.jpg
|
CIMG1877.jpg
- the hallway wall on the right is load bearing to some extent. Sure would be
nice to open it up a bit.
|
CIMG1878.jpg
- garage

- t11 siding is starting to buckle. There is no wood beneath it. The
siding is nailed to the house framing. There is then a layer of insulation
followed by interior sheetrock. The "smell" mentioned in a prior frame
could simply be a result of critters nesting and peeing in the wall.
Without any real barrier between the outside and the insulation beyond the
warped T11, mice and rats could get inside (though we've never heard them.).
