Joey was too soft to be a cattle ranch dog so at a year and a half years old the cattle rancher adopted him out so he could become a house dog. He transitioned seamlessly and immediately enjoyed being a pet rather than a work hand.

He began doing flyball at 2½ , but before he could compete we moved. Since then he dabbled in agility and has a good eye for sheep herding. He finally returned to flyball at age 6½ years old. He may have slowed down from his younger years, but he loves it.

His other favorite past times are ball, herding, ball, trail rides, ball, and relaxing in his bed.
